Vicky leads a fascinating double life in a quaint village by the beach. During the day, she dedicates herself to fishing on the sea, while in the evening, she transforms into a captivating and charming bar owner. Despite the apparent contrast between these two worlds, Vicky skillfully maintains a delicate balance, crafting a unique and captivating lifestyle of her own.
Director Iván Mora Manzano skillfully captures Vicky’s daily life in the village through poetic long shots and an unhurried editing pace. The film delves into the intriguing local gender culture, known as “Enchaquilados,” which has evolved from a code name for religious individuals who saw homosexual activity as a ritual to become a symbol of the local gay and trans community.
【導演簡介】伊萬．莫拉．曼薩諾 Iván Mora Manzano
伊萬．莫拉．曼薩諾以《SILENCIO NUCLEAR》（2002）作為導演的處女作，此片在第59屆威尼斯電影節的新領域單元展出。緊接著，他的第二部短片《絞刑者的生活》（2004）參展於第67屆洛迦諾電影節的導演學院展映。2012年，伊萬推出首部故事片《SIN OTOÑO, SIN PRIMAVERA》，在包括聖保羅、卡塔赫納、華沙、馬德普拉塔、哈瓦那和邁阿密等30多個電影節上引起關注。該片在法國進行了院線放映，並在美國、巴西和哥倫比亞進行了發行。他的第二部故事片《GAFAS AMARILLAS》是與巴西共同製作的，於2020年在溫哥華電影節首映，隨後於2021年在Cinequest進行美國首映。
Iván Mora Manzano made his directorial debut with “SILENCIO NUCLEAR” (2002), which was showcased at the 59th Venice Film Festival in the New Territories section. Following this, his second short film “VIDA DEL AHORCADO” (2004) was featured at the 67th Locarno Film Festival in the Filmmaker’s Academy exhibition.
