奧斯卡獎季倒數，文策院安排奧斯卡最佳國際片獎項臺灣代表片《老狐狸》導演蕭雅全、符合奧斯卡動畫短片參賽資格兩部作品《幽暗小徑的鬼》導演王登鈺與《熱帶複眼》導演張徐展，以及新銳短片《風流少女殺人事件》導演洪瑋婷，進攻北美展開奧斯卡獎季造勢，於亞洲國際電影節現場和專業人士、奧斯卡影藝學院會員等，進行深度交流，為奧斯卡決選名單公布進行現身造勢。
To build momentum ahead of the event, TAICCA arranged for four Taiwanese directors to travel to North America: Hsiao Ya-chuan, director of Old Fox (representing Taiwan for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film), Fish Wang and ZHANG XU Zhan, directors of Ghost of the Dark Path and Compound Eyes of Tropical, respectively (two works eligible for nomination for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film), and Birdy Wei-Ting Hung, director of the novel short film A Brighter Summer Day for the Lady Avengers. All four films were screened during the Focus on Taiwan program at the 10th Asian World Film Festival.
