2009年，當導演初次和阿波羅妮亞相遇時，兩人正值滿懷理想、充滿熱情的青春年歲。成長於巴黎地下劇院社群的阿波羅妮亞，在藝術家雙親的耳濡目染下，進入了歐洲最富盛名的藝術學院構築著創作夢。他與烏克蘭女性主義組織成員奧克薩娜發展親密的關係與情誼，義無反顧活出自我的姿態，深深吸引著導演，進而用攝影機記錄下他們脆弱又勇敢的身影。
本片見證阿波羅妮亞在殘酷的藝術世界實踐自我、探索女性身份的過程，並呈現理想與現實生活之間無盡的掙扎與矛盾。歷時13年拍攝，記錄人生所經歷的各種跌宕起伏，這部電影不僅關於阿波羅妮亞，也關於導演麗亞，還有更多在父權意識形態和資本主義主導的世界中掙扎、努力，仍不願失去自我的諸多女性。
In 2009, when Lea GLOB meets Apolonia, the daughter of Parisian bohemians raised in a community of artists who frequent the theater founded by her father, she had no idea she would end up filming her for 13 years. The Danish filmmaker deftly pieces together a captivating portrait of the young woman, inviting us along on her quest for creative emancipation.
麗亞・格勞 Lea GLOB
丹麥籍導演、攝影師，畢業於丹麥國家電影學校紀錄片主修。從事影視製作多年，尤關注女性主義題材與當代人類處境。2014年與佩特拉．寇斯塔合導《榆樹與海鷗》，2016年與梅特・阿布雷克森合導《Venus》；本片為其獨立執導的首部紀錄長片。
A Danish filmmaker and cinematographer, graduated from the documentary program at the National Film School of Denmark. She has a deep interest in co-creation and strong feminist themes and investigations of the existential conditions of humans of the present day. She co-directed Olmo and the Seagull with Petra COSTA and Venus with Mette Carla ALBRECHTSEN. Apolonia, Apolonia is her first documentary feature as a solo director.
